Jose Silva made discoveries in his research and needed terminology to explain them. To do this, he came up with new definitions for some existing terms, and also created some new terms.
For instance, what is it that holds matter together in the shape of a human body? Religious people might call it the soul. When the body dies, the soul leaves and the body disintegrates - "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust."
What is it that energies the body? Is that also the soul? If so, is it some other aspect of the soul?
What makes a human being different from other life on this planet, different from animals for instance? Is it because humans have a soul?
What about other life on this planet: What holds matter together for form the body of an animal? A plant? How about inanimate matter, what holds it in a certain shape? Is that also a soul? What energizes the animal?
Soul has been used in all 3 ways. Jose Silva felt that we needed different terms for each of those 3 things.
Perhaps Jose Silva's experience in electronics and radio repair helped him to formulate a new scientific theory about this, and some new terminology.
What holds a radio - or any other electronic device - together? What makes it what it is?
First you have a plan, called a schematic. It is like a blueprint. It tells you where each component goes, and how they are connected to one another. You build this on a circuit board, and use solder to hold the components in place.
This creates the form of the device, and it is ready to use, but this alone does not activate it. You activate by applying electrical energy, an electrical current.
Some devices are designed to do specific things. A clock will keep time. A toaster will toast slices of bread and when they are done it will raise them up and turn off the current. A vacuum cleaner will suck up dirt.
So now we have the blueprint for a device, and the device itself which is held together in some manner, and is activated by electrical energy.
A radio goes beyond this. A radio can bring you news and music and dramatic presentations and comedy and much much more. The "content" comes from an outside source that uses the radio to bring information to wherever you are.
Applying this to life on planet earth, Jose Silva came up with this:
The soul is a mould that holds matter together, it is cohesive and adhesive. He called it the Soul Mold - which adheres to the blueprint, the schematic, designed by the creator.
The spirit is what energizes the body. It is electrical in nature, and works through the brain and nervous system.
Animals and plants have a soul mold, and even a spirit. They have an objective (physical) factor, and a subjective (mental) factor.
Humans, he said, have something more. Humans are creative and can change their environment in ways that animals and plants cannot. He calls this human intelligence. It is a spiritual factor. Only humans have this spiritual factor.
The spiritual factor is the way that the creator - higher intelligence - expresses itself here on earth.
Your television set is a set of components that have been assembled and are held together in a certain way. It is energized - turned on - by an electrical current.
Once that is done, you can receive content from far away. You can watch news, concerts, dramatic presentations, sports.
We humans are like that television set. We can "tune in" to the information that we need. The information is then sent to us, through our brain (electrical circuitry) so that we can become aware of the information and can use it.
We actually have 2-way capability with higher intelligence. It might be better compared to a webcam connected to your computer - something like Skype - where we can both send and receive messages.
We can ask "headquarters" for help in making the right decisions and doing what we were sent here to do. How is this done?
It is similar to what happens with a webcam. We can communicate directly with other humans by talking to them. When we are together, we can see them and they can see us.
When we are apart, we need a way to convert what can be heard and what can be seen to another form - radio waves for instance - and then transmit these radio waves to a receiving set that decodes them and converts them back into sound and images.
The brain does exactly that. We create mental images and the brain converts them to the proper form and communicates them to higher intelligence, back at headquarters.
We can also use the same means to communicate with other humans who are not in our presence. Our brain converts information to a subjective form and the other person's brain can detect this information and convert it back into a physical form, like mental pictures or words or odor or even the sense of touch.
We can even communicate with "lower" life forms this way, animals and plants.
Animals can receive information subjectively - mentally - from each other and from humans, but they cannot communicate with higher intelligence on the other side, because they do not have the spiritual factor - they do not have human intelligence.
Plants can receive subjective communication from humans and animals, but cannot communicate with higher intelligence.
